abas Winner of ERP Software

Karlsruhe and Hong Kong, May 05, 2008 – ABAS Software is proud to announce that its software partner in China, Abas Business Solutions (PRC) Ltd., has once again been distinguished as the "Winner of Enterprise Resources Planning Software". This award was presented by the editorial staff of Linux Pilot magazine during the "Linux & OSS Best Solution 2008" ceremony held on April 17th. It is the third time that the abas ERP system has been distinguished with this award.

The "Linux & OSS Best Solution" event is held to encourage the use of Linux and OSS in empowering business and consumer solutions. The abas ERP system was granted the award for offering an IT solution based on the Linux platform that offers long-term commercial benefits and devotes itself to improving the operational efficiency of manufacturers in mainland China and Hong Kong.

In recent years, both the internal and external Chinese manufacturing environments have undergone much change. Vincent Lau, COO of Abas-PRC, explains, "Last year, manufacturers in eastern China were faced with the pressure of the 'Four Shortages' and 'Four Increases'. 'Four Shortages' includes the shortage of manpower, land, water and electricity; 'Four Increases' includes the increase in raw materials pricing, oil prices and salary, as well as Renminbi appreciation which has greatly increased manufacturers' operational costs. Given the mounting difficulties in today’s environment, manufacturers intent on developing their brands have quickened steps to invest in an ERP system to enhance operation efficiency, strengthen management and decrease the adverse effects brought on by the "Four Shortages" and "Four Increases".

As proven in being a 3rd time Linux Award recipient, abas ERP is able to satisfy the requirements of developing enterprises and help manufacturers improve operation efficiency. Building on 28 years of experience in manufacturing enterprise services, abas ERP allows manufacturing companies to plan efficient processes during production, purchase and sales, as well as realize operation management objectives and achieve high levels of return on investment.
